This is a bit older crowd, but it's a start. (They will probably have a lot to say)
Miniature horses meet Mendicino... turns out my Aunt, who raises them, actually lives there now. A the things we learn.
Anyhow, she was very excited about our project and would be happy to talk to us about the area. I'll give you the contact info in a non-public location though (I'm testy about putting emails & phones on public blogs)
